USU Ranked 12th Best Campus in Indonesia by Webometrics

Thursday, February 02, 2023.  Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) is ranked the 12th best campus in Indonesia according to the Webometrics ranking. This ranking increased significantly from the previous position where USU occupied the 29th position. USU Rector Dr. Muryanto Amin, S.Sos., M.Si., explained that the USU Webometrics achievement in the January 2023 version nationally rose 17 ranks. While our world ranking is 1,696 or a significant increase of 1,191. "So in the national ranking 12, for the world ranking 1,696 from the previous USU world ranking 2,887," explained the rector who was confirmed regarding the increase in USU's ranking in the Webometrics ranking, Thursday (02/02/2023). The Rector explained that the increase in USU's ranking gave a sign that USU's internal potential was very strong to meet the assessment indicators of international institutions such as Webometrics.

 

Webometrics itself is a site that ranks universities around the world, which is a pioneer of the Cybermetrics Lab, a research group that is still part of the Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas, the largest research institution in Spain. According to the Webometrics website, there are 3,381 public and private universities in Indonesia included in the Webometrics 2023 ranking.
