Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU), through the Directorate of Digitalization and System Integration (Ditgrasi), continues to demonstrate its commitment to supporting professional and secure governance of scientific publications. One of the key efforts undertaken is the development of the Open Journal System (OJS) platform, utilized by Talenta Publisher as a web-based management and publishing system for scientific journals.
OJS is an open-source platform widely used by educational institutions and academic publishers worldwide to digitally manage the journal publishing process. The upgrade conducted by Ditgrasi focuses on enhancing system security, given that digital threats continue to evolve and pose potential risks to data, article integrity, and service continuity. With this update, Ditgrasi ensures that the Talenta Publisher OJS has stronger protection against potential cyberattacks, while simultaneously supporting smooth journal operations to remain stable and easily accessible.
In addition to security enhancements, the system update also helps improve the performance and efficiency of key functions within OJS.
