USU Ditgrasi Holds Technical Guidance for Academic Social Media Synchronization at Faculty of Pharmacy to Boost Visibility and Academic Collaboration

The Directorate of Digitalization and System Integration (Ditgrasi) of Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) successfully held a "Technical Guidance for Google Scholar and Lecturer Profile Synchronization" at the Faculty of Pharmacy on Friday, September 20, 2024. The event was led by the Director of Ditgrasi, Emerson Pascawira Sinulingga, S.T., M.Sc., Ph.D., and attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, apt. Khairunnisa S.Si., M.Pharm., Ph.D., along with lecturers from the Faculty of Pharmacy. The main goal of this activity was to enhance the quality of scientific publications and the academic reputation of lecturers through optimizing their Google Scholar profiles.

In the event, Cindy Laurent Ginting, S.Kom., from Ditgrasi led a technical session on integrating Google Scholar profiles using the official university email (@usu.ac.id). This activity aimed to strengthen academic visibility, enhance lecturer reputation, and foster international collaboration. Emerson Pascawira Sinulingga, in his remarks, emphasized the importance of this synchronization as part of the "Transformation Towards the Ultimate" vision to boost USU's branding and social media traffic.

Participants received technical and practical guidance on managing their Google Scholar profiles and leveraging USU's official social media platforms like Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and X (formerly Twitter). This effort aims to boost USU's standing in the Webometrics Impact Ranking and Openness Ranking. The event, which concluded at 3:30 PM WIB, reflects Ditgrasi's commitment to advancing digital transformation within USU, opening doors for more international collaborations, and ended with a group photo session.
