Technical Guidance Event for Synchronizing Google Scholar and Lecturer Profiles at Universitas Sumatera Utara

Medan, October 21, 2024 – The Directorate of Digitalization and System Integration of Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) organized a Technical Guidance (Bimtek) event for the synchronization of Google Scholar and lecturer profiles for the S1 Chemistry program at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA). This event aimed to enhance the university's visibility in Webometrics rankings, a crucial indicator of academic reputation at the global level.

The Bimtek was held on Monday, October 21, 2024, in the FMIPA USU Meeting Room. The event was attended by the Head of the Chemistry Study Program, Dr. Sovia Lenny, S.Si., M.Si., along with S1 Chemistry lecturers.

In her speech, Dr. Sovia Lenny stated that synchronizing lecturer profiles with platforms like Google Scholar is a strategic step to enhance the credibility of lecturers' scientific publications, as well as to expand research collaboration networks at an international level. This aligns with Universitas Sumatera Utara's vision to become one of the leading universities in Southeast Asia, as reflected in the Webometrics rankings.
