The Directorate of Digitalization and System Integration at Universitas Sumatera Utara (Ditgrasi USU) focuses its implementation on strengthening the University Administrative Service Information System (LARAS) as a vital instrument in achieving the university's digital transformation goals. LARAS USU itself is specifically designed to deliver administrative services with fast and accurate output.
This system fully supports the Rector's work program through Ditgrasi in collaboration with the Human Resources Bureau (Biro SDM). The strengthening of LARAS serves as an important indicator of USU's commitment to realizing the vision of “Transformation Towards the Ultimate” through operational efficiency. Based on track records, USU has been actively formulating and developing digital administrative services like this for the past few years. Similar information systems, such as SILA USU (USU Administrative Service Information System), have also been utilized as platforms for service request submissions, including by users with USU accounts (SSO USU).
In an operational context, LARAS operates under the supervision of Ditgrasi and the HR Bureau, demonstrating the university's focus on two critical aspects: technology and human resource management.
This system is expected to integrate various administrative workflows, minimize the use of physical documents, and provide centralized and standardized data for decision-making. Strengthening digital services like LARAS also places USU on par with international-standard universities that prioritize digital-based Integrated Service Units (ULT) for the convenience of the academic community.
Ditgrasi USU will continue to ensure that LARAS functions optimally as an integrated solution, making the process of submission, approval, and storage of administrative documents more streamlined and aligned with the needs of the digital age.
