MEDAN – Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) continues to carry out a structured and comprehensive overhaul of its website governance. This effort is realized through the development of an internal Content Management System (CMS) designed to be more secure, flexible, and easy to manage.
Of the total 326 domains registered under usu.ac.id, the majority are work unit websites and web-based information systems. The migration process from legacy platforms such as Joomla to this new, tailor-made platform is currently underway.
This migration is driven by several key objectives, namely:
- To support security, standardization, as well as national and international accreditation.
- To align with the direction of the campus digital transformation.
The new CMS is expected to deliver significant benefits, including:
- Enhanced Security against hacking risks.
- Ease of Management by every work unit.
- Compliance with Accreditation Standards and International Rankings.
This step demonstrates USU's commitment to realizing Digital Transformation and ensuring that campus digital assets are managed according to the highest standards.
