USU Officially Launches Student Email Service as the Official Student Account

With the presence of Email Students USU, it is expected that students can more easily obtain official information, maintain professional communication standards, and utilize various digital services in an integrated manner.

Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) once again strengthens its commitment to the digitalization of academic and administrative campus services through the launch and optimization of "Email Students USU," an institutional email account specifically provided to all active students. This account is managed directly by USU through the SATU USU digital ecosystem and serves as the official student identity throughout their study period.

Email Students USU is designed to support all academic, administrative, and formal communication needs between students and faculties, study programs, lecturers, and university service units. By utilizing standardized institutional accounts, USU ensures data security, the validity of communication, and the smooth operation of various digital services connected within the university system.

Students can create their institutional email by following these steps:

  1. Login to the SATU USU Portal using your respective student account.
  2. Access the Profile Menu by clicking on your photo or the profile menu located in the top right corner of the portal interface.
  3. Select the “Email USU” option; the system will then display a dedicated menu for institutional email settings and creation.
  4. Click the Create Email button and fill in the requested data.
  5. Wait for Confirmation; once the request is processed, students will receive a confirmation via their alternative email or a direct notification on the SATU USU portal.
  6. Email is Ready to Use.
