MEDAN – Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) has launched an innovative digital service to simplify personnel administration processes. Now, requests for leave, transfers, and resignations for employees can be done easily and efficiently through the Universitas Sumatera Utara Integrated Service Unit (SILA) application.
The SILA application is part of USU's effort to realize a #SmartCampus and #DigitalTransformation. Personnel services are now fully integrated, where the entire submission process is automatically forwarded to LARAS, a system owned by the Human Resources Bureau (Biro SDM).
SILA offers key conveniences for employees, namely:
- Easier: Submissions are made online via www.tiket.usu.ac.id.
- Transparent: Submission results can be monitored directly by employees through SILA.
- Efficient: The entire approval process is facilitated through the LARAS platform.
The development of this digital service affirms that at USU, technology is no longer just a tool, but a bridge to the advancement of public services within the campus environment. Quoting Bill Gates, USU reminds us that the impact of technology depends on how wisely we use it, and SILA is tangible proof of using technology to increase efficiency and transparency.
