USU Integrates OBE System at Faculty of Engineering to Boost Accreditation via RPS Standardization and Historical Data Migration

MEDAN – Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) is taking progressive steps in academic quality assurance by focusing on the implementation of the Outcome-Based Education (OBE) system. The Directorate of Digitalization and System Integration (DITGRASI), together with the Institute for Curriculum Innovation and Learning (LINKUP) at USU, held a coordination meeting to discuss the integration of the OBE system and the preparation of standardized Semester Learning Plans (RPS).
This activity is a strategic step aimed at supporting efforts to improve accreditation at both the university and study program levels.
As a follow-up, DITGRASI provided intensive assistance regarding the use of the OBE system to 20 Study Programs (Prodi) at the Faculty of Engineering (FT). This assistance covered a comprehensive process, including:
- Creation of RPS aligned with OBE standards.
- Facilitation of OBE implementation.
- Historical data migration.
- Transcript integration.
Primary assistance focus was given to the Bachelor of Civil Engineering, Master of Civil Engineering, and Doctoral of Civil Engineering Study Programs.
DITGRASI stated that this synergy is crucial for realizing an efficient and accountable digital transformation at USU. In addition to OBE integration, DITGRASI also reported other activities, including the Library Website Development Meeting to synergize website quality improvements in accordance with Webometrics standards, as well as Training on SIKALISTA Inventory Features.
