MEDAN – Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU), through the Directorate of Digitalization and System Integration (DITGRASI), has initiated the first step in digitizing employee work activities by implementing the Apparatus Performance Evaluation Management System (MEKAR). The implementation of the MEKAR daily logbook feature has commenced in accordance with the Vice Rector II Circular Letter and the official invitation letter dated April 30, 2025.
The initial stage of this implementation will run for one full month, from May 2 to May 31, 2025. This activity focuses on four work units (satker) as a pilot project, namely:
- Directorate of Digitalization and System Integration (DITGRASI).
- Bureau of Human Resources (Biro SDM).
- Bureau of Information Systems, Planning, and Development (Biro Sirenbang).
- Bureau of Finance.
The primary objective of the MEKAR implementation is to cultivate the habit of filling out daily logbooks as part of the digital and standardized recording of State Civil Apparatus (ASN) work activities.
Following the execution, the report results will be submitted to the Bureau of Human Resources and copied to the Vice Rector II via an official cover letter. This measure underscores that the digitalization of work governance at USU begins with consistent, small steps.
